Training for next season’s indoor rowing competitions starts now—and this is where serious progress begins.
This indoor rowing training for competitions program is designed for athletes who want more than just workouts. It’s for rowers who want to improve, compete, and show up ready when it matters. Whether you’re returning after last season—or stepping onto the competitive floor for the first time—you’ll be training with purpose from day one, guided by a 3x World Champion, U.S. and Americas Champion, and indoor rowing world record holder.
You’ll get weekly semi-private, in-person coaching sessions combined with fully structured monthly programming you can follow at home or in your gym. Every piece of the plan is intentional—rowing sessions, strength work, and recovery—all working together to move you forward.
This is the same approach used by athletes I coached last season—several of whom went on to become national champions.
Built to Peak When It Counts
Your training is fully periodized to guide you through every phase of the season:
- Build a strong aerobic base
- Increase VO₂ max and power output
- Sharpen rowing technique and efficiency
- Peak at the right time for competition
We’ll be preparing specifically for:
- British Rowing Indoor Championships (December)
- USRowing Indoor National Championships (February)
- World Rowing Indoor Championships (February)
Program Investment
- $195/month (May-August)
- $250/month (September-February)
Includes:- 1 semi-private rowing session per week
- Full monthly training program delivered through the ErgZone app
- Structured progression designed to peak for competition
- Optional Private Coaching:
- $90/session (discounted for program athletes)
Sessions are intentionally kept small—with just 2 to 4 athletes per group—so you get individualized coaching, real feedback, and the kind of attention that actually moves the needle.
For reference: this level of coaching typically runs $380/month, making this a high-value opportunity for athletes serious about competing.
Season Structure
- Off-Season (May–August):
Monthly programming focused on building your engine, strength, and durability - In-Season (September–February):
A 3–4 month structured commitment designed to sharpen performance and peak for racing
More Than Just Training
This isn’t just a program—it’s a team environment.
You’ll train alongside other motivated rowers, stay accountable, and push past limits you probably didn’t realize were there. The group dynamic matters—and it’s often the difference between “pretty good” and “podium-level.”
Open to both first-time competitors and experienced rowers, this is where you build confidence, speed, and race-day readiness.
Who This Is For (And Who It’s Not)
This program is for you if:
- You want structured, indoor rowing training for competitions, not random workouts
- You’re serious about improving your performance and seeing measurable progress
- You’re willing to follow a plan consistently—both in sessions and on your own
- You want coaching, feedback, and accountability—not just a workout to get through
- You’re preparing for events like the British Rowing Indoor Championships, USRowing Indoor National Championships, or World Rowing Indoor Championships
- You thrive in a small group of motivated athletes who push each other to improve
This program is probably not for you if:
- You’re just looking for casual workouts or general fitness with no competitive goal
- You prefer to “wing it” instead of following a structured, periodized plan
- You’re not interested in technique, data, or improving efficiency on the rower
- You’re not willing to train consistently outside of the weekly coached session
- You want large group classes where you can blend in and go at your own pace
Spots are limited to keep coaching quality high and sessions personalized. If you’re serious about competing this season, now’s the time to get started.
